Social Media Grows Up

According to the 2013 Small Business Technology Survey, produced by the National Small Business Association, “social media is a growing piece of small businesses online strategy,” with LinkedIn and Facebook leading the field in terms of social media outlets used for business purposes. The report points to a notable drop in those small firms who said they don’t use any social media whatsoever, from 53 percent in 2010 to just 27 percent today. Part of the reason is that social media has moved from being a purely social platform to one that truly supports business objectives. Host – What does it mean to you?

Do you have an army protecting your on line reputation, data, business? Very few of us stop to think about what it means to have someone “host” your website or store your data.

When considering this service be sure to consider and evaluate more than the monthly hosting fee.

Where is the hosting company based? What kind of support do they offer? What are the uptime guarantees? If you don’t know the answers to these questions or are not sure what they mean to you. It’s time to ask for a review.
